All foreign exchange students must obtain a D-2-6 visa to study in Hanyang. The D-2-6 visa is a single-entry visa valid for only 90 days after the student’s arrival in Korea.
Consequently, students must apply for an Alien Registration Card (ARC) to extend their stay in order to complete the program and be able to travel to other countries if necessary.
Students may not leave Korea until they have received the ARC. Leaving Korea without an ARC will result in the cancellation of the visa and the visiting student program.
