If you are not very found of sports, the city offers many cultural activities: you can go on the Murales circuit, the museums and shows or a “shopping tour” at the Carrefour de l’Estrie or in the city center.

Procedures
ID Card or passport (compulsory for destinations outside the EU) valid for six months after your return date.
No VISA required for all study stays shorter than 6 months. The European students must however apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization. The ETA can be done quickly online. You will need your passport and a credit card.
Other nationalities may need a visa. The processing time is quite fast : 2 to 3 weeks, but it takes time to prepare the application and obtain all requested documents.
Health insurance:
– for students from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Romania and Sweden, you can either subscribe to the university’s insurance for CA $ 324 for 4 months, or do what is necessary with your Health Insurance Fund. You must ask for the SE 401 Q 106 form. After your arrival, you will have to follow administrative procedures with the RAMQ (Health Insurance services in Quebec).
– for students from other countries : you must suscribe to the university’s insurance.

L’Estudiantine is a building with 36 furnished rooms close to the University and another one with 34 apartments of 3 or 4 bedrooms in the city center, very close to the bus terminal.

Being hosted in a private home
In the university district and a few steps away from the main campus, several owners rent furnished rooms with shared areas in their homes. You can then benefit from the advantage of being with a family while enjoying your autonomy and settling down without the inconvenience of moving.
Flats
