Strengths
Founded in 1919, the university has 13 faculties for 27,000 students. It is the largest and oldest university in Slovakia. You will be attached to the Faculty of Arts with 250 teachers for 4,000 students.
Major, Academics
You will take courses in the Department of Marketing Communication – but only a few courses in English are offered – and the Faculty of Management – wider choices of lectures in English-.

Campus
You have access to the sports offered by the university: football, tennis, athletics, workout, etc.
To discover
Bratislava, historical city! Museums, theaters, operas, ballets, etc.
In winter, from November to April: the mountain and its ski slopes.
In summer: cycle paths, rafting, trekking, etc.
Good to know
The university set up a “buddy” system. These are the university students who take care of you before and during your semester : they help you with your accommodation, they can pick you up from the airport, etc …
Once there, you can buy the ISIC international student card which offers discounts, including 50% discount on public transportation (€20 / month) and meals at €1.50 on campus.
Also plan around €30 for books.

The number of places in Erasmus + is limited. The granting of the scholarship is therefore not automatic and the amount may vary. However, we invite you to apply because exchange places (excluding Erasmus +) may be offered. Please refer to the Erasmus+ section.

Procedures
ID Card or passport (compulsory for destinations outside the EU) valid for six months after your return date.
No visa for EU and EEA citizens. No specific medical insurance is required. French social security coverage.
Countries outside the Schengen zone and non-EU nationals need a study visa. It if possible for you to work on site (hotel / pub / store).
Accommodation
Accommodation in a youth hostel – in the Ľudovít Štúr dormitory – with a capacity of 900 students. These can be double or triple rooms for 80 € / month / person. Several cafeterias are located nearby.
Possibility to stay on campus in the refectory located at Šafárikovo Square No. 6 or in the Faculty of Arts’ refectory located at Gondova Street No. 2.
Outside campus, plan around 250 € -300 € / month.
