Strengths
Hanze University of Applied Sciences is the largest university of applied sciences in northern Netherlands. It was the first university of applied sciences to establish an international business school in the Netherlands, it is the first and only higher education institution in the country to have an art academy and a conservatory.

Located in the northern Netherlands, Groningen is a young and dynamic student city, with half of its inhabitants under the age of 35. With 202,747 inhabitants, Groningen has a picturesque and safe city center surrounded by relaxing countryside. Groningen’s city center’s plan from the beginning of the Middle Ages and many old buildings in the center still bear witness to its history. The city is not only interesting from a historical point of view, but also impressive with its modern architecture, excellent and affordable sports facilities and a nightlife that never sleeps.

Procedures
ID Card or passport (compulsory for destinations outside the EU) valid for six months after your return date.
No specific medical insurance is required. Health coverage by the French social security (European Health Insurance Card).
For non-European students, applying for a visa before your departure is compulsory. The university helps you with the procedures. You will have to pay € 4,900 / semester to the university, which will be returned to you once there, less visa fees (€ 317) and insurance (€ 200). This amount corresponds to the requirements of the Dutch immigration service.
