Campus
Mahidol University International College is located in a beautiful 210 hectare campus in Salaya just outside of Bangkok city and 20 km from its center. It is a residential campus with safe accommodation, sports activities, etc. and everything is ran by 14 student associations.
Air conditioned buses can take you to central Bangkok, a taxi will cost you € 4.

Good to know
You are allowed to work 20 hours a week.
A free shuttle service can be provided on request.
There is a dress code. Male students must wear black pants, black shoes and a white shirt for class and female students a white blouse, a black skirt and black shoes class or entering administrative and academic offices. Clothes are bought on campus for Baht650 for men and Baht600 for women.
The university will also give you a badge in order to identify you as an exchange student. There is a fairly chaste dress code if you are on campus for other purposes.

You are entitled to free medical care at the campus clinic and for more serious cases at the three university hospitals during your studies.

Procedures
ID Card or passport (compulsory for destinations outside the EU) valid for six months after your return date.
Compulsory study visa : “ED” study visa. It will be valid for a maximum of 90 days. You can then extend it on site at the Immigration Desk for Baht 1900.

Plan a repatriation insurance in case of serious illness.
Accommodation
In shared apartments in residences on campus, Chaiyapruk Village and Green Park. Plan between €140 and €320/month. The university also provides apartments and studios off campus with private landlords. Remember that the apartments on campus are not mixed.
PLEASE NOTE: on-campus accommodations are not available in quarter 1 (September to December). In this case, the university will provide you with an alternative accommodation: Bundit House, Baan Suan Apartments, The Loft Salaya or The September Salaya. Plan between Baht 5500 and Baht 5000 per month for these accommodations.
The cost of living is quite cheap if you live as a local. A meal costs around €1. Plan €4 for a “fancy” meal.
