To discover
Prague, situated in the heart of Central Europe, in Bohemia, is built on the banks of the Vltava.
Prague has been known by many names over the course of its history: The Golden City, The City of a Hundred Spires and The Heart of Europe.
Prague is the result of the union of five ancient cities and is a city steeped in history, with attractions such as the castle and Old Town Square with its astronomical clock, and places that tell stories at every turn, such as the Jewish cemetery and Charles Bridge.
Also not to be missed are the Basilica of St George and the Golden Lane in the castle district.
Prague is a very green city with a multitude of public parks. In fact, it is the city in the world with the most green spaces per inhabitant. The 5 most beautiful parks in Prague are Letná, Stromovka, Riegrovy sady, Parukářka and Petřín.
Good to know
Unlike other tourist cities in Europe, Prague is distinguished by the large size of its old city centre. You’ll have plenty to explore. So don’t confine yourself to the city centre, where all the tourists flock, and above all avoid Karlova street, where you’ll have to elbow your way through. There are lots of fun things to do and beautiful areas to see outside the city centre, so it’s definitely worth bearing in mind when planning your stay!
