Campus
The Florence Campus is located in an ancient convent immersed in one of Florence’s most prestigious areast, protected by the Superintendency of Monuments, dates back to the second half of the 1600s and sits atop a hill overlooking the city, offering priceless views. More than 8,000 square meters of land cultivated with olive trees and a soccer field make up an extraordinary green space available to students for study and relaxation.
The Institute consists of 14 fully equipped classrooms (25 average seats/ class), an advanced IT lab with 40+ computer stations, a cafeteria with tables and working stations, as well as an auditorium (150 seats), vast green areas (8,000+ squared meters), a soccer field, and individual studio rooms.
The campus in Florence also includes a dormitory with 8 studio rooms (+ 2 superior studio rooms), 5 shared double rooms, as well as fully equipped common areas that include a kitchen, laundry, and toilets.
The venue is strategically located between the city center and the city’s most prestigious residential area, just 5-minute walk.
To discover
A UNESCO treasure, Florence draws millions worldwide, once Italy’s capital (1865-1870). Home to the world’s largest masonry dome (1436), the city hosted masters like Michelangelo and Leonardo. Florence, birthplace of gelato and brands like Gucci, Lotti, and Ferragamo, resonates with creativity. It sparked the “Stendhal syndrome” and ranks 16th in European tourism. With 5.1 million annual visitors, including 18,000 American students, Florence blends history, art, and cultural allure. The Florentine dialect birthed the Italian language, and the Uffizi Gallery stands among the world’s finest museums. If you are looking for art, culture, and for a full immersion across history, Florence will provide you with inspirations in every corner. Visit Renaissance churches, world-famous galleries, renowned restaurants, libraries, and archives. Florence is designed to be a very walkable city. Indeed, most important monuments and attractions are all reachable on foot. For destinations just outside the city center, pop on buses, trams and “treni cittadini” (tram-trains). Taxi and car sharing services are moreover available at all time
Good to know
The Latin etymology of the word “Florence” means “the city of flowers”. And with good reason: the city was built in Tuscany on the banks of the River Arno, where the land was particularly lily-filled. Considered a royal plant, a symbol of power and purity, the lily has become the emblem of Florence and is present throughout the city.
