UNINT offers all incoming students the opportunity to take a free 36-hour Italian language course (6 ECTS). The course is available in both the first and second semesters and is organized into two different levels (basic and intermediate-advanced). Before the course begins, the teacher in charge will organize an entrance test to check your Italian language skills and will place you in the group that best suits you.
Campus
UNINT University is a private Italian university, based in Rome, in the Ostiense district.
On Campus all students benefit from free wifi access in University buildings, a UNINT institutional email account and 400 free copies per month on printers.
Each student has free access to all the facilities of the University: cafeteria, food service, library, garden…
ESN (Erasmus Student Network) is the largest international student association composed of volunteers. They offer support to foreign students and organize many activities, trips, fields days.
Students can join their FB group: ESN Roma Tre, ESN Roma ASE or follow them on Instagram: esn_roma3, esnromaase.
With the ESN card, for a fee of about 10 euros, students can benefit from numerous discounts (Ryanair, pubs, stores, etc.) during their stay abroad.
Incoming students will receive a BUDDY.
Among the possible activities of the buddy program you can receive:
- Tips on how to get around the University and beyond to facilitate a faster and more efficient integration;
- help with the bureaucratic procedures necessary for the stay in Italy (if necessary).

To discover
Rome, is located along the Tiber River and was built on seven hills, named the Palatine, the Aventine, the Capitol, the Caelius, the Esquiline, the Quirinal and the Viminal. Throughout the city, you will find many ruins and archaeological excavations. From the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, a huge amphitheater where gladiators had to fight in Roman times, the Pantheon, and the Via Appia, you’ll really feel like you’re traveling back in time on one of the oldest roads in Rome. In fact, the Eternal City is a huge open-air museum, so it’s not surprising to learn that the entire ancient city center is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Be prepared to walk a lot, to give you an idea Rome is 12 times bigger than Paris.
There is a lot of greenery in Rome, including villas maintained for centuries, parks and archaeological sites. During the weekend we suggest you the Appia Antica, where you can also visit the catacombs, or the park of aqueducts. Do not miss Villa Borghese or Villa Pamphili that are also very beautiful.
In Rome is also located the Vatican, which has a very special status as a micro-state, with the Pope as its head of state. This state occupies only 44 hectares, the largest part being occupied by St. Peter’s Basilica with the adjacent square. Don’t miss the Sistine Chapel, part of the Vatican Museums, known for the conclaves held there to choose a new pope and decorated with magnificent paintings by Michelangelo.
You can’t leave Rome without also experiencing its authentic cuisine and typical dishes, which invite you to memorable moments of conviviality. The city is full of restaurants!
A panini on the go, a plate of pasta in a trattoria or an ice cream in a park, the offer is just like Italian cuisine: gourmet and varied.
In several districts, Trastevere, Monti and Testaccio, you will find good addresses, but avoid the most touristy areas.
In the Ghetto, a popular Jewish neighborhood full of history, you will find the typical Roman cuisine.
Very popular in Rome and in Italy in general, the Aperitivo is a real tradition. In addition to participating in Italian habits, it is a good way to eat well and cheaply in Rome. In Italy, the concept of aperitif is much richer and complete than in France, it allows you to replace the evening meal!

Good to know
To open a bank account and sign a lease contract, it is necessary to have a Codice Fiscale (tax code). You can ask for your Codice Fiscale at the Embassy/Consulate (where you also ask for the VISA, if needed) or you can get it directly in Rome, after your arrival.
To receive a Tax Code in Rome, you must go to the office called Agenzia delle Entrate, located in Via Ippolito Nievo 48-50, tel: (0039) 06.58.31.91 e-mail: dp.iroma@agenziaentrate.it (metro B stop “Piramide”, then streetcar n. 3 stop Piazza Ippolito Nievo)
The tax code is an alphanumeric code based on your first name, last name and date and place of birth. It is used by the Italian public administration to identify citizens living in Italy.
We remind you that the CODICE FISCALE generated automatically by ESSE3 or by UNIVERSITALY is not valid. The CODICE FISCALE, in order to be valid, must be issued either by the Agenzia delle Entrate or by the diplomatic representations (embassy or consulate).

Procedures
ID Card or passport (compulsory for destinations outside the EU) valid for six months after your return date.
No VISA is required for European citizens. However, if you plan to stay longer than three months, you will need to request a document called Iscrizione Anagrafica from Municipio di Residenza office (http://www.poliziadistato.it/articolo/10930).
Students without an European passport who plan to stay in Italy for more than three months must apply for a student visa.
To apply for a study VISA, you must register on the UNIVERSITALY > WHY AND HOW TO REGISTER > REGISTER NOW.
When asked for the reason for issuing the VISA, you must select “Erasmus+ or exchange program”, you must not choose a UNINT degree, but you must select the SINGLE COURSE option where you must write “EXCHANGE PROGRAM”.
European Health Insurance card compulsory.
