To discover
Pamplona offers a very pleasant living environment with a large number of parks and gardens, enough to rank Pamplona among the European cities with the most green and leisure spaces per inhabitant.
Pamplona is a welcoming and warm town which offers a wide range of leisure activities, shops and an important gastronomic tradition. The town is located right in the center of the Navarra region, which allows easy access to all of the attractions in the area.
It is a peaceful town with emblematic places, known for its famous Sanfermines crossed by the Way of St. James that you cannot miss, facing the emblematic Pamplona Bullring, the Encierro, a sculpture that pays a tribute to the mythical event of Pamplona (race of a herd of bulls behind young people) and the Romanesque Magdalena Bridge, at the ramparts bottom.
Pamplona invites you to enjoy its parks and stroll through the streets of its Old District; it will tempt you with its gastronomy and its popular pinchos (tapas), washed down with a good wine with the controlled designation of origin “Navarra”.
Small peaceful villages situated in a landscape between the Pyrenees and the plains of Ribera in the surroundings of Pamplona.
Good to know
The legendary writer Ernest Hemingway documented his experiences in Pamplona in his novel “The Sun Also Rises”. He fell in love with the town and its bars, most of which are still existing in the main square, allowing us to to relive his adventures. Hemingway mentions Café Iruña several times in his novel. It was a place where he often spent long afternoons drinking red wine in the shade.
The number of places in Erasmus + is limited. The granting of the scholarship is therefore not automatic and the amount may vary. However, we invite you to apply because exchange places (excluding Erasmus +) may be offered. Please refer to the Erasmus+ section.
